A new five-star hotel is coming to Giza in 2028, positioned directly across from the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) and overlooking the Great Pyramids of Giza.

Spanning 7,520 square metres, the EGP 3 billion (USD 58 million) project is designed to serve the growing demand for high-end stays in one of Egypt’s most iconic cultural districts.

The hotel is being developed by Misr Abu Dhabi Real Estate Investment Company, a subsidiary of Banque Misr—Egypt’s second-largest state-owned bank—in collaboration with Saudi and Kuwaiti investors.

Construction is expected to begin before the end of the year, aligning with Egypt’s national tourism strategy to expand hotel capacity from 230,000 to 500,000 rooms by 2028.

With the Grand Egyptian Museum officially set to open its doors on July 3rd, the new hotel will add a contemporary layer to Giza’s evolving hospitality scene, offering travellers a front-row seat to both ancient wonders and modern cultural milestones.
