Amr Diab & TLT Concepts’ Coastal Venue Maa’soom Returns to Marassi
A new season of barefoot beachside days, seafood shaped by fire and salt, and Amr Diab-approved after-dark sets has officially begun.
If Amr Diab has spent decades providing the soundtrack to Egyptian summers, Maa'Soom on Egypt's North Coast might just be where it plays out this year. Debuting its operations in Marassi this season, beggining of July, 2026, the beachside destination created by TLT Concepts - the minds behind some of Egypt's most iconic summer playgrounds like The Lemon Tree & Co. - in collaboration with the pop icon, invites guests into a world built around coastal contrasts.
By day, it’s a beach club in its most effortless form: sunbeds lined up to the Mediterranean, lunches as light as the breeze, families settling into cabanas inspired by Bedouin hospitality, and a pace that barely moves beyond the tide.
As the afternoon folds in, the fine-dining restaurant takes over, and fire meets water on the plate. On one side is the flame-grilled vision of Chef Hattem Mattar, the world's first Arab pitmaster, whose live-fire cooking brings bold flavours and smoke-kissed dishes to the table. On the other is a Mediterranean approach curated by TLT Concepts' Culinary Creative Director Panagiotis Zokos, built around fresh seafood, seasonal ingredients, and the kind of effortless elegance that feels right at home beside the sea. Together, they create a menu that mirrors the venue itself: elemental, balanced and designed to be shared.
"From the magic of fire and water to unforgettable beach and dining experiences, every detail is shaped by the passion of Chef Hattem, Chef Zokos, and the remarkable team behind it all," Mirette Aly, Co-Founder & CHO at TLT Concepts, tells SceneTraveller.
As for the entertainment, something both the pop icon and TLT have become known for shaping, it runs in parallel to the flavours rather than waiting its turn, with live DJ sets and curated summer soundscapes lacing through a setting that never fully separates the plate from the playlist.
