IHG’s Garner Hotel Brand Is Making Its Middle East Debut in the UAE

The midscale brand is built around keeping hotel stays simple, with its first Middle Eastern properties landing near Al Jaddaf Waterfront in Dubai and by the creek in Ras Al Khaimah’s Al Nakheel.

IHG is adding a new name to the UAE’s hotel scene, and this one is designed to keep things refreshingly uncomplicated. Garner, the global hospitality group’s midscale brand, is making its Middle Eastern debut with two new hotels in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah, bringing 285 rooms between them.

Launched in 2023, Garner was built around the idea that a hotel stay does not need a chandelier the size of a small apartment to do its job properly. Its formula is deliberately simple: a convenient location, a comfortable place to sleep, breakfast in the morning and the reliability of IHG behind it.

The first UAE address, Garner Hotel Dubai Al Jaddaf, will bring 81 rooms to the Al Jaddaf Waterfront area, tucked between Downtown Dubai and Dubai International Airport. There will also be a rooftop pool overlooking Dubai Creek, giving the otherwise straightforward stay a rather nice place to float.

Further north, Garner Hotel Ras Al Khaimah Downtown will be the bigger of the two, with 204 rooms by the creek in Al Nakheel, close to Al Naeem Mall. The property is aimed at both business and leisure travellers, giving Garner its first foothold in a destination where weekend escapes and work trips regularly overlap.

Both hotels are expected to open in 2026, as Garner continues its rapid expansion beyond the US and into new markets. By March this year, the brand had already passed 100 open hotels globally, with almost 80 more in the pipeline across 12 countries.
