Saudi's Red Sea Project Reveals Three Incredible New Resorts
Another three hotels have just been announced for Saudi Arabia's ambitious Red Sea Project: the Ritz Carlton Reserve, Miraval, and Rosewood.
Saudi Arabia's Red Sea Project, the highly awaited luxury travel megaproject spanning a 90-island archipelago with miles of sweeping desert-scapes. A total of 16 premium stays will be available at the destination’s first phase. Now, another three hotels have just been announced: the Ritz Carlton Reserve, Miraval, and Rosewood hotels.
The Ritz Carlton Reserve is nestled on the picturesque Ummahat Islands, while Miraval and Rosewood are situated on Shura Island, the resort's core nucleus. Nearly 500 hotel keys are included in the new collection of hospitality brands, out of a total of 3,000 planned for phase one.
The luxury hotel companies join a line-up of globally renowned brands that have already confirmed at the Red Sea Project, including: EDITION Hotels and St Regis Hotels & Resorts, Fairmont Hotel & Resorts, Raffles Hotels & Resorts, and SLS Hotels & Residences, Grand Hyatt, Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts and Six Senses, Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts and Six Senses.
The first guests at the Red Sea Project are expected to arrive in less than a year once its hotels open. Phase one will be completed by the end of 2023, with a total of 19 hotels.
The Red Sea Project will be completed in 2030, and will include 50 resorts with up to 8,000 hotel rooms and over 1,000 residential buildings spread across 22 islands and six inland areas. An international airport, luxury marinas, golf courses, entertainment, and recreational facilities will all be part of the destination.
