Dubai’s ‘Burj Al Arab’ Named World’s Most Instagrammed Hotel
With 2.5 million and 673,000 posts respectively, Burj Al Arab and Atlantis, The Palm are officially the hospitality king and queen of Instagram.
Following an extensive survey conducted by Dubai Tours & Tickets and reported on by Hotelier Middle East, which examined 80 global hotels by assessing the number of hashtagged Instagram posts featuring each hotel’s name, the top 10 most Instagrammed hotels around the world have been revealed.
Not surprisingly for a metropolis that’s all about luxury and aesthetics, Dubai has snagged the top two spots with Burj Al Arab and Atlantis, The Palm, beating out fierce competition, including the Bellagio in Las Vegas, the Ritz in Paris and Claridge’s in London.
Burj Al Arab
One of the most iconic landmarks in Dubai and situated on its own private island, Burj Al Arab, which offers 198 exclusive suites with 24-hour butler service, came in first place with 2.5 million Instagram posts – over 2,000 percent more than Claridge’s in London, which ranked tenth on the list.
Atlantis, The Palm
Next up is another landmark within Dubai’s skyline – Atlantis, The Palm. With 673,000 Instagram posts, this ocean-themed resort, which boasts 1,544 rooms and offers free access to the record-holding Aquaventure Waterpark, rightfully came in second place.
With this mind, we think it might be time to loosen the purse strings and book a flight to the glitzing city. If you’re not going to do it for yourself, your mental health or your sense of adventure, then maybe do it for the gram.
