EgyptAir Announces New Flights to Misrata, Libya Starting January 25th
The newly launched flights aim to bolster trade ties between Egypt and Libya.
Engineer Yehia Zakaria, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Holding Company for EgyptAir , stated that due to the increase in traffic between the two brotherly countries, “Egypt and Libya,” and in accordance with the policy of supply and demand, EgyptAir announced the operation of new direct flights to Misrata, Libya.
This step comes as a continuation of the ambitious plan pursued by the company to expand Its network in the African continent and access to many vital points there, especially with the presence of Egyptians residing and working in Libyan territories, with the aim of enhancing trade and economic exchange between Egypt and Libya.
Zakaria stated in a press release that the new route will commence operations on January 25, featuring one weekly flight every Thursday.
This marks EgyptAir’s third destination in Libya, following Benghazi and Mitiga in Tripoli. The flight, identified as MS827, departs from Cairo International Airport at 12:15, arriving in Misrata at 15:15 Libya time.
As an incentive for the new route, EgyptAir is offering discounted fares for the first four flights, with the inaugural flight at a 50% discount and the subsequent three at a 25% discount for tickets purchased until January 20th.
