Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport Now Has Sleep Pods
Passengers will be able to get some shut-eye in privacy and comfort.
Travelling through Riyadh soon? Say goodbye to the undignified act of lying across a few chairs with one eye open to make sure your bags are still where they should be, and say hello (and good evening) to the ultra-sleek future of airport naps - Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport has unveiled newly-installed ‘sleep pods’ to allow travellers to get some quality rest as they get ready to fly.
Over 300 passengers a day will be able to rest their weary heads in the new pods, which are air-conditioned and come complete with interactive screens, lockers for the storage of belongings, and hotel-style beds.
Since their first appearance at a handful of universities across the Kingdom, the idea of sleeping pods’ has gained popularity fast, spreading to hospitals, companies and airports.
