Direct flights between Muscat and Erbil will begin on October 25th, 2026, with SalamAir operating the route twice a week.

Erbil will become the Omani low-cost carrier’s second destination in Iraq after Baghdad, expanding its network in the country and adding a direct connection between Oman and the Kurdistan Region. One-way Lite fares start from OMR 54.99.

The route is expected to serve tourism, business, trade and family travel, while also giving passengers access to onward connections through Muscat to destinations across the Indian Subcontinent and Asia.

Steven Allen, Chief Commercial Officer of SalamAir, said the addition builds on the airline’s existing Baghdad operations and reflects growing demand for travel between Oman and the Kurdistan Region.

The new service comes as SalamAir continues to expand its fleet and route network, adding new destinations and increasing capacity across key markets.

Tickets are now available through SalamAir’s website, mobile app and authorised travel agencies.
