Boho Dreaming at NAZ Boutique Hotel in Ras El Hekma

Down Egypt's North Coast is a beautiful privately-owned beach, belonging to Al Ahly Sabbour’s GAIA resort, where NAZ, a cute boho hotel, has been preciously tucked away.

Cairo Scene

Burrowed somewhere amidst the ultra-luxurious and ginormous hotels of Ras El Hekma is a boutique hotel straight out of our ‘boho aesthetic’ Pinterest board. As corporate conglomerates, real estate giants, and architects shift their attention to building bigger and bolder hotels and compounds, Al Ahly Sabbour decided that a state-of-the-art boutique hotel promising tranquility is the way to go. Down the coastline is a beautiful privately-owned beach, belonging to Al Ahly Sabbour’s GAIA resort, where NAZ, a cute boho hotel, has been preciously tucked away.

Spending long weeks slaving away in the concrete jungle that is Cairo is taxing on all our nerves, and weekend-ing at the North Coast, unfortunately, has the same effect these days. With our systems being constantly overloaded, a small, quiet, and serene escape becomes necessary for our mental and emotional health. This is precisely why NAZ is the haven we didn’t know we needed on the North Coast.

The 40-room boutique hotel is designed with the comfort of its visitors in mind. Floor-to-ceiling windows are accentuated by wooden frames and decorated with intricate macrame wall-hangers, throw pillows, and futons. The open plan allows for a lot of sunlight, giving the space a beautifully airy and homey feel. With a view that overlooks crystal blue waters and a glittering beach, NAZ sounds like a place we needed to be at, like, yesterday.

So don your cream-coloured summer dress and your straw hat, and feel free to flit around aimlessly, grab a drink by the pool, or ready by the beach. When you do grow hungry, NAZ’s charming restaurant, Beach Front by Maita’i, will be ready to serve delectable dishes made from the freshest ingredients.

Walking into NAZ means leaving the outside world around you, and maybe that’s exactly what we need, to disconnect from the world and reconnect with ourselves.
