Beats, Art & Dance at Youm fel Fayoum’s All-Day Music Fest

The second round of Youm fel Fayoum will see us crowding up amongst the desert dunes of Fayoum to listen to local DJs like Ameed, Insonata, Shunus, Sherif & Tex, Taher, and Yo-lan-da.

On the outskirts of Egypt’s capital, there lies a small rural town often frequented for its greenery, wild horses, pottery workshops, and starry skies known as Fayoum. The town has always been a hotspot for adventure in camping, sports, and - most recently - music. ‘Youm fel Fayoum’ is an all-day festival celebrating music in Fayoum that first began in December 2021, and is soon returning on March 25th.

The second round of Youm fel Fayoum will see us crowding up amongst the desert dunes to listen to local DJs like Ameed, Insonata, Shunus, Sherif & Tex, Taher, and Yo-lan-da. And yes, you read that correctly. The event isn’t hosted at a particular venue; it’ll take place out in the desert with nothing but tents to shelter us from the brilliant open sky above.

Among the other activities they’re going to be hosting is acrylic painting, book bonding, and acroyoga. They’re bringing on the likes of Flaw’d Art, Grain Studio, and yogi Farah El Deeb to help event-goers decompress in between music sets.

For anyone who wants to attend, the organisers will take care of transportation, food, and the entire day’s entertainment for you. Early bird tickets are now available by DMing @five2nineevents on Instagram.
