AirCairo Begins Flights to Hurghada from Hungary and Italy
The small airline is finally operating flights from Italy and Hungary to Egypt after a three-year hiatus.
Air Cairo, a low-cost Egyptian airline, began operating flights from Italy’s Milan and Naples, as well as the Hungarian capital, Budapest, to Egypt’s coastal city of Hurghada after a three-year hiatus. The airline is offering only one flight per week from each of the cities, but is set to double the amount in late March 2023.
Since the announcement, AirCairo has withdrawn roughly 40,000 one-way tickets from bookings for next year, according to a statement from Budapest International Airport. As a result, Air Cairo has secured 16% of the airport's total weekly seats across all routes, and it will transport passengers on its fleet of 180- and 110-seat A320 aircrafts.
