Lionel Messi's Hotel Room in Qatar Will Be Turned Into a Museum
Maybe you can even smell his bedsheets, if you’re into that sort of thing
On December 18th, Argentina won against France in one of the FIFA World Cup’s most thrilling games, but with Lionel Messi at the helm, Argentina was able to break a 3-3 stalemate by winning 4-2 in penalties. The win awarded Argentina its fifth World Cup and Messi his life-long dream as one of the most accomplished football athletes in the world.
In honour of this historic victory, Qatar University - where Messi was staying during the World Cup tournament - is converting Messi’s hotel room into a museum! The captain’s belongings will be kept there for perpetuity in order to inspire future generations of footballers. Imagine being able to press your cheek against Messi’s own hotel room door - WITHOUT a restraining order? Details on how you can visit this mini-museum have yet to be released, but we’re sure you’ll be able to score a visit to this soon-to-be-legendary site sometime soon.
