Egypt Launches Direct Flights Between Resort Towns and Upper Egypt

From scuba-diving amongst the colourful cacophony of corals in Egypt’s Red Sea to gazing up at the majestic Nile-side temples of the pharaohs, Egypt is a veritable wonderland of diverse experiences. And yet for years it was nearly impossible to quickly and easily delve into these dazzling dichotomies without first travelling through Cairo making it too time-consuming and complicated for Sharm or Hurghada resort-dwelling tourists to embark on quick day-trip style visits to the stunning ancient sites of Upper Egypt.

All that’s about to change with a newly approved decision to open up flight paths from Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada International Airports to airports in Luxor and Aswan.

There’s no word yet on when exactly this will kick off but we await with bated breath.
