Emirates Turns Retired Aircraft Parts Into Horse Artwork in Dubai

Earlier this year, Emirates carried out a similar initiative by transforming old aircraft parts into 50,000 kilograms’ worth of backpacks for students in Africa.

Emirates has revealed a striking new horse-shaped artwork in Dubai, crafted entirely from retired aircraft parts.

Designed and fabricated locally, the piece draws on the horse as a powerful emblem of Emirati heritage, while showcasing how aviation materials can find new life through creative upcycling.

The installation follows other sustainability initiatives by the airline. Earlier this year, Emirates transformed 50,000 kilograms of decommissioned aircraft materials into limited-edition backpacks distributed to students across Africa.

Together, these projects reflect a growing focus on giving aviation’s past a practical new role.
