Spanish tourism and airline companies are set to increase their number of flights to popular Egyptian tourist destinations within the coming months. This announcement follows the successful conclusion of new contractual deals between these Spanish companies and their Egyptian partners. The aim of these contracts is to boost the number of trips to tourist hotspots during both the current winter season and the upcoming summer season.

According to the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism, Spanish airlines have expressed confidence in the diverse tourism potential offered by Egyptian destinations. Eager to sustain and strengthen their collaboration with Egyptian tourism partners, the airlines have prepared a comprehensive long-term plan to enhance flight connectivity from various Spanish cities to Egypt.

This development comes at the end of a visit by Ahmed Issa, the Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, to the Spanish capital, Madrid, where he participated in the 44th session of the International Travel and Tourism Exhibition, FITUR2024.

During his stay, Issa engaged in a series of official meetings with key stakeholders within the international tourism industry. This included discussions with tour operators, tourism companies, airline representatives, and owners of hotel establishments.

Additionally, Issa held various meetings with both Spanish and international media representatives.

The expansion of flight operations between the two countries underscores the growing global interest and confidence in the Egyptian tourism sector. This cooperative effort is expected to contribute to the growing partnership between Spanish and Egyptian travel-related businesses, promoting tourism and cultural exchange between the two countries.
