Iconic Dubai Beach Club ‘SAL’ Lands on Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island
With its 30-metre infinity pool and renowned Mediterranean restaurant, SAL might just dethrone the current leader – Saadiyat Beach Club.
SAL, a celebrated beach club with a thriving presence in Dubai, is expanding its brand to Abu Dhabi with the opening of SAL Saadiyat Island. Located on the pristine beach of Jumeirah's Saadiyat Island property, this new establishment offers sun-loving travellers breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf, complimented by a vibrant selection of seafood culinary creations. Already open and ready to welcome guests, SAL Saadiyat Island aims to provide the same upscale and sophisticated atmosphere that has made its Dubai counterpart a staple getaway for tourists and residents alike.
Inspired by the chic vibes of Capri, Mykonos, and Saint-Tropez, SAL Saadiyat Island houses a 30-metre infinity pool adorned with white-and-navy loungers, macrame trinkets and rattan furniture finishings. The pool area features a boardwalk leading to SAL’s private adult-only beach, providing an elegant and convenient escape.
As for the renowned beach club’s centrepiece, SAL’s famed Mediterranean restaurant is housed in a cube-like mirrored structure that reflects the picturesque natural surroundings, complete with a beachside terrace offering oceanfront dining tables. With two decades of experience worldwide, Head Chef Vincenzo Nigro serves up a seafood-focused menu blending Greek, Spanish, and Portuguese cuisines. Highlights include – sea salt crusted sea bass, tuna tartare with caviar and ponzu sauce, and trenette pasta with pesto and king crab.
“Jumeirah has earned an exceptional reputation in the dining scene, and we’re proud to be leading in that space as a luxury hotel group,” Spencer Ayers, Senior Vice President at Jumeirah Group, tells SceneTraveller.
SAL Saadiyat Island operates from Monday to Friday for lunch (12:30 PM to 5 PM) and dinner (7 PM to 11 PM), and on Saturday and Sunday from 12:30 PM to 11:30 PM.
