Lavish Regal Heights Hotel is Now Open in Egypt's New Alamein City
Having accommodated the likes of King Hamad of Bahrain, King Abdullah II of Jordan and Iraq’s Prime Minister Mustafa Al Kadhimi, the hotel is - quite literally - a royal sanctuary.
Nothing can quite live up to the immense solitude that comes from nights spent atop lavish penthouses and deluxe hotel rooms brimming with pint sized snacks and tiny bottles of opulent wine and bubbly champagne. There’s an escapism that is ignited upon the thought, swiftly prompting you to pack a mismatched array of cocktail dresses, a line-up of venerated literature (because you’re a pseudo-intellectual at heart) and strappy heels that’ll lead to an unholy amount of blisters (still perfectly justifiable though because they feed your supermodel fantasies).
Enabling you to fling yourself (coiffed hair first) into the fantasy is Alamein’s newest hotel ‘Regal Heights’. Having accommodated the likes of King Hamad of Bahrain, King Abdullah II of Jordan and Iraq’s Prime Minister Mustafa Al Kadhimi, the hotel is - quite literally - a royal sanctuary.
The towering skyscraper is located on a 400-metre expanse of the Mediterranean coastline overlooking Alamein’s urban cityscape. Encased in blue architecture, the Hotel’s exterior channels the same stretch of sapphire waters it’s tethered to. Packed with facilities, the establishment lends itself to those of us looking to disengage from Cairo’s hectic culture, but are ultimately still apprehensive at the thought of eliminating city life altogether.
Much like its Alexandrian counterparts, the hotel offers a private beach alongside a slew of restaurants and bars dedicated to enabling guests to fully succumb to their deepest luxurious desires. So yes, you can in fact order an ostentatious line-up of tartars as you sunbathe on the veranda and tune out your baby cousin’s incessant whining. When the summer heat overwhelms your senses feel free to allow a world-class masseuse to marinate you in the finest concoction of essential oils and attempt to small talk you as your face is squished within the crevices of a leather massage table.
