Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is opening a luxurious wellness haven in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, nestled right on the coast of the Red Sea.

The resort will be part of the Red Sea Global’s coastal spot Amaala, a fully integrated wellness town surrounded by the world’s fourth-largest reef and the Hijazi mountains. Rosewood Amaala will boast 110 guest rooms and suites, as well as 25 luxury-branded residences. Its wide array of culinary experiences will involve something for everyone, including fine dining, casual eateries and beach-inspired club lounges, all opening onto views of the Red Sea. The resort also offers child-friendly experiences at the Rosewood Explorer’s Club, which curates programs to inspire the next generation of conscious travelers. The Asaya Spa, hidden amongst the rolling landscape around the resort, will be the focal point of Rosewood Amaala’s wellness offering.

With the overall development of Amaala aiming for zero impact and 100% renewable energy, sustainability is at the heart of the property’s design. To that end, the resort’s architecture firm, Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel Architects, has ensured that the endangered hawksbill and green turtles’ nesting sites remain uninterrupted.

Amaala is considered to be one of the world’s most ambitious regenerative tourism projects today. Rosewood Amaala joins the brand’s strong pipeline of projects set to open in the Middle East, including Rosewood Doha (2023), Rosewood Riyadh (2025) and Rosewood Red Sea (future opening).
