Tokyo's Wellness-Focused Janu Hotel is Landing in Dubai's DIFC
Designed to complement Aman Dubai, the city’s most expensive hotel, Janu Dubai brings nature and wellness to the heart of DIFC.
There’s most definitely no shortage of over-the-top lavish lodgings and gold-dipped regal retreats in the mega-metropolis that is Dubai. From glass-walled underwater suites and Warner-Brothers-villain-themed rooms to the most Instagrammed hotels in the world, Dubai seems to have it all and then some. Well, almost.
Although the megacity is getting its first Aman Hotel, which will be the most expensive hotel in the entire cosmopolis, it’s still missing the luxurious hotel’s slightly more modest sister, Janu, renowned hotelier Aman Group’s celebrated social-centric brand. Never a city to settle for anything shy of perfect, Dubai is about to complete its hospitality collection with an Aman Group addition in one of the world’s busiest urban financial districts – Janu Dubai in DIFC.
Set to open in 2027, the Janu Dubai skyscraper will include 150 luxury rooms, residences and a private members’ club, all designed by Pritzker-prize-winning firm Herzog & de Meuron and with stunning views of the city, including the iconic Burj Khalifa.
Similar to Janu Tokyo, the brand’s inaugural and recently-opened development, Janu Dubai will showcase culinary concepts rooted in Asian traditions and inspired by European specialties, with a dash of Arabian spice – the best of all worlds.
And in the spirit of connecting with nature, which in Dubai can be a challenging feat, the haute hotel will feature balconies with private pools inside the rooms, expansive terraces at the elevated eateries and extensive greenery throughout the grounds. A much-needed breath of fresh air in the middle of the smog.
With a primary focus on wellness, Janu Dubai will also be home to a spa that blends ancient and modern practices and philosophies from various cultures, as well as various fitness facilities, where you can partake in high-impact group classes and personal well-being sessions.
All in all, Janu Dubai seems to be planning on going the extra mile, offering Dubai denizens and visitors alike a unique and upscale experience right in the middle of all the action.
