Immerse in Dahab’s Healing Energies with Nour Wellbeing’s Workshops

Capitalising on the healing energy of Sinai, Nour Wellbeing is bringing a series of workshops to connect travellers to their inner selves through nature.

Nowadays, when people talk about Dahab, they talk about its vibe. Sina’s healing energies seem to coalesce here, between its mountains and the Red Sea shore. Dahab has become a boho-hotspot for kitesurfers and young influencers wielding ukuleles, a place where you can hit pause and take a look at your life from the outside-in. 25 years ago, when Scotswoman Ema Louise came to Egypt at 20 years old, Dahab had not yet developed its far-reaching reputation. Here in this then-small Bedouin town she immersed herself in her own healing journey. Now, as the force behind wellness brand Nour Wellbeing, Louise has brought along a team of experts to host a series of workshops to help fellow travellers on their own journey towards wellness.

“We are trying to encourage this idea of tapping into an authentic self,” Louise told #SceneTraveller. “We’re doing this through workshops and retreats. It’s very much about giving yourself time and space to connect with the self. Nature really helps that process.”

The majority of Nour Wellbeing’s work revolves around yoga, sound healing, reiki, and desert quests. With a group of expert practitioners, Nour Wellbeing encourages its travellers to capitalise not only on Sinai’s natural scenery and local culture, but on the opportunity it provides to look inward in the midst of nature. “In the middle of your busy day, you don’t have space to pause and ask yourself whether this is really authentic for you,” Louise says. “Not everyone has the luxury to step away from the hustle of life, so taking a moment to breathe is super important.”

Last year, Nour Wellbeing became a yoga school and started to host teacher training sessions for yogis. While much of their focus has shifted in this direction, offering certified courses for potential gurus, they haven’t abandoned the desert excursions that made Nour Wellbeing famous. Coming up on April 6th, yogis Natalie Zeid and Ana Gromovic will partner with Nour Wellbeing to take travellers to the Sinai desert for a day of yoga in nature, a trek, and night around the bonfire.

In the meantime, you can sign up for their Dahab workshops for EGP 950 per person. The price includes transportation to and from Dahab, a cooked lunch, and all activities in the itinerary.
