Rekindle Your Romance at this Luxor Couples’ Retreat

The Re Relation Retreat is inviting lovers to Luxor, where they will be able to escape and recharge amongst the amorous atmosphere of Egypt’s ancient past.

If romance served with a side of adventure is what you’re looking for, then look no further. Luxor is all about romance, between the gentle boat trips on the Nile and the swaying of the reeds. Think ‘Death on the Nile’, but without the murder, or the problematic casting choices. Egypt-based trip organiser, The Re Relation Retreat, is bringing their ‘Rekindle Retreat’ series to Luxor, giving high-strung urbanites a chance to escape and recharge amongst the amorous atmosphere of Egypt’s ancient past from March 25th to March 27th.

“Couples are going to strengthen their bond and discover things about themselves, not just their partner,” relationship counsellor and The Re Relation Retreat founder Rasha Salama tells #SceneTraveller. “The most important thing is that they’ll learn to have fun together, which a lot of couples don’t do.”

Bringing on the help of explorer Yamour Kenawy, Salama’s itinerary doesn’t just present a wonderful opportunity to explore new places with your partner. It’s also a chance to strengthen your bond together with Luxor's transformative energy, beckoning you and your beau to marvel at the Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple and clear blue Nile waters.

The three-day itinerary will have you spending your nights at the five-star Hilton Luxor, voted the best resort spa in Egypt in 2021. Your stay will include half board, unique couple activities and games, visits to Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Hatshepsut Temple and the Valley of the Kings, as well as a ride on a motor boat. And to top it all off, you’ll get to gaze down at a romantic sunrise on a hot air balloon ride.

For the standard package, the trip runs at EGP 6,500 per person without domestic flights or EGP 8,700 with flights included. If you’d like to upgrade to a Nile view room or extend your stay, that’s on the table as well. If you’re flying into Egypt, make sure to present proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test taken no longer than 72 hours before boarding.
