EgyptAir has commenced direct flights between Cairo and São Paulo which will set off every two weeks, with the inaugural flight having recently landed at São Paulo Guarulhos International Airport. The new route marks the third direct connection between Guarulhos and Africa, providing increased travel options for passengers between the two regions.The flights will be operated as charters, with Spain's largest air consolidator, MasterFlights, overseeing 100% of the operations. Additionally, a third weekly flight is slated to commence in September 2024, exclusively serving the Cairo-Guarulhos route. Plans are in motion to introduce a second weekly flight as early as May 2024, providing connections to Buenos Aires, Argentina. The introduction of these direct flights between Brazil and Egypt is expected to bolster connectivity, economic ties, and commercial relations between the two nations. Moreover, it will expand travel options for tourists from both regions, facilitating easier access and fostering cultural exchange.
