UAE-based customers can now use Jaywan cards to book flights across Etihad’s global network through etihad.com.

UAE-based travellers can now use Jaywan cards to book Etihad Airways flights online, making Etihad the first airline to accept the country’s domestic payment card for flight bookings.

The payment option is available on etihad.com across Etihad’s global route network, with eligible customers able to select Jaywan at checkout. The integration forms part of a wider partnership between Etihad and Al Etihad Payments, following an agreement signed in October 2025.

Further benefits are planned for Etihad Guest members who hold Jaywan Royal cards, including discounts on Comfort and Deluxe fares and priority access privileges.

Jaywan is operated by Al Etihad Payments, a subsidiary of the Central Bank of the UAE. The domestic card scheme was launched in July 2026 and is continuing to roll out through banks and licensed financial institutions across the country.

The move comes as Jaywan expands into more everyday and travel-related uses across the UAE, including tourism. The Emirates Tourism Council has also outlined plans to broaden acceptance of the card among tourism establishments and develop offers linked to resident programmes such as Esaad, Fazaa and Saada.
