The Gulf Cooperation Council’s six member states (GCC) have collectively endorsed a unified tourist visa system slated for implementation between 2024 and 2025. Similar to the Schengen visa, the Gulf’s unified visa initiative is geared towards invigorating tourism throughout the region.
In consonance with the GCC’s 2030 tourism vision, the unified tourist visa is poised to fortify the economic and tourism sectors across the region. The 2030 tourism strategy endeavors to spotlight the untapped potential of the area, aiming to contribute significantly to the Gulf's GDP.
