Grand Hyatt Dubai Makes Waves with New Five-Star Waterpark

Set to open in early 2025, the five-star family-friendly waterpark will include 15 rides and a wave pool.

Scene Traveller

Bold claim – you can never grow out of waterparks.

Zooming down the big snaking slides, plunging into the pool at the bottom and surfacing out of breath, rushing through the fountains and squealing at the ice-cold water (then running back through anyway) and splashing dry-clothed companions who insist they don’t want to get in. These are just some of the components that, throughout our fleeting childhood, made for a thrilling and water-activities-filled summer day.

In an exciting (and nostalgic) turn of events, The Grand Hyatt Dubai has decided to open a new five-star waterpark by early next year, giving us ‘young souls’ a chance to, well, remain young-souled.

Located near the up-and-coming Dubai Creek, this new family-friendly waterpark will have 15 adrenaline-spiking (yet super safe) rides, a wave pool and a designated area for children and toddlers, which is proof that – contrary to popular belief – waterparks are most definitely not just for children.

However, if you prefer to soak in the adrenaline from a distance, you can treat yourself to a delectable lunch at the park’s diverse eateries instead. Or, you can live vicariously through your adventurous companions by watching them from a safe distance at your very own private cabana.

Making sure everyone can join in the water fun, the 20,000 square metre park will be available to both hotel guests and visitors. So, there’s no need to book a stay with the Grand Hyatt to relive the good ol’ days by splashing around the wave pool and spraying your water-averse friends.
