Globally recognised artist Takashi Murakami - popularly known for creating that Murakami flower you see everywhere - has been putting on exhibitions with world-spanning art galleries Perrotin since 1993. This time, the Japanese artist is bringing his uplifting artwork to Dubai’s own Perrotin until January 28th, 2023.

Boasted as part of the gallery’s opening programme, the Murakami exhibition represents more than an ode to the artist’s long-term collaboration with Perrotin. The exhibit pays homage to the unique dissemination and promotion of pop art that Murakami so eloquently portrays in his work. For most Dubai residents, it also doubles as an excellent date idea for every Sanrio-obsessed chronically online couple there (AKA the entire Gen-Z demographic).

Hosted at ICD Brookfield Place, a cultural hub committed to the discovery and support of both regional and global artistic voices, the exhibition represents a gateway into the global art scene for aspiring artists across the region.
