Riyadh Air Launches Flights From Riyadh to Jeddah, Madrid & Manchester
The carrier will link Riyadh to Jeddah and open routes to Madrid and Manchester ahead of its planned commercial launch.
Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s newly launched national carrier backed by the Public Investment Fund, is set to add Jeddah, Madrid and Manchester to its network as it expands. The additions come ahead of its planned commercial launch and broaden its initial footprint across domestic and European markets. Jeddah will strengthen domestic connectivity within Saudi Arabia, while Madrid and Manchester extend the airline’s reach into Europe. Earlier this year, Riyadh Air named Cairo as a key destination in its network, with plans to operate daily flights from Riyadh using its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The Cairo route sits alongside the newly added European cities and Jeddah to form part of the carrier’s first phase of destinations as it builds out long-haul capacity and regional links. Unveiled in 2023, the airline forms part of Saudi Arabia’s wider aviation strategy to position Riyadh as a major global aviation hub. Riyadh Air plans to serve more than 100 destinations by 2030, leveraging the Kingdom’s geographic position between Asia, Europe and Africa.
