Shushah Island is NEOM's Latest Super-Luxury Beach Club Haven
Awash with a marina, hotels, villas, a coral garden and underwater museum, Shushah makes for an immersive seaside experience.
Shushah Island is set to become the next super-luxury water-bound hotspot in the region. Located in Saudi Arabia’s megaproject NEOM, this new destination is awash with coral reefs, hotels, marinas and beach clubs. A museum, meanwhile, will be designed as an underwater experience, making for an exhibitive storytelling experience that is – quite literally – immersive.Once developed, Shushah Island could become a world centre to showcase pioneering efforts to protect and renovate coral reefs, making it a destination for eco-conscious travellers.
The floating marina will have 43 berths and two aeroplane docks. Shushah Island will also have a standalone hotel of a towering 200 metres high and will comprise of 300 rooms, an "upper upscale boutique hotel" of 60 rooms and a luxury boutique hotel of village apartments, and a floating research centre that goes underwater.
The coral garden is expected to be completed in 2025 and will be a centrepiece of NEOM's vision for a more sustainable relationship between people and the planet.
