All the Record-Breaking Swimming Pools Around the Region

If there’s a record to be broken, you know Dubai will be the one to break it. That’s why it’s no surprise that (almost) every entry on this list is located in the sparkling metropolis.

From scuba diving among the ruins of a submerged city in the world’s deepest pool to watching the sunset from pools suspended in the clouds – Dubai has definitely taken swimming pools to new heights and depths, setting not one, not two, but several Guinness World Records.

However, every record is meant to be challenged, and ambitious plans are currently in the works in Saudi Arabia, threatening Dubai’s swimming pool supremacy.

The World’s Longest Suspended Infinity Pool

📍One Za'abeel, Dubai

Suspended between two asymmetric towers, the pool at the recently opened One Za’abeel is the world’s longest suspended infinity pool, offering spectacular panoramic views of the city. After a languid afternoon of swimming and sipping on the hotel’s signature cocktails, guests can dine at Tapasake, a poolside restaurant renowned for its unique fusion of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine.

The World’s Deepest Pool

📍Deep Dive Dubai

Plunging to a dizzying depth of 60 meters, Deep Dive Dubai is the world’s deepest pool, containing as much water as six Olympic-sized pools. Both diving aficionados and newcomers can explore its vast, underwater cityscape, weaving between sunken cars and abandoned buildings, all enhanced by state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems that create a truly unique underwater experience.

The World's Highest 360° Infinity Pool

📍Aura Skypool, Dubai

Perched atop the St. Regis with an eagle's eye view across the whole of Dubai, Aura Skypool is the world’s highest 360° infinity pool. From the comfort of the pool's chilled waters, visitors can spy the city’s landmarks from the sprawling fronds of Palm Jumeirah to the unmistakable silhouette of the Burj Al Arab, as the sun descends to reveal a brilliant sunset over the Arabian Gulf.

The World’s Highest Outdoor Overflow Pool

📍SLS Dubai

The rooftop of the SLS Hotel Dubai boasts not one but two infinity pools, recognized by Guinness World Records as the highest outdoor overflow pools. Dubbed Privilege, this rooftop venue also features a poolside nightclub where resident DJs and special guests keep the party going late into the night.

The World’s Highest Outdoor Infinity Pool

📍Address Beach Resort, Dubai

Located on the 77th floor of the Address Beach Resort on the fringes of Dubai Marina, this is the world’s highest outdoor infinity pool. Exclusively reserved for resort guests and residents of its multimillion-dollar apartments, those fortunate enough to gain access feel as though they are flying above the city.

Soon to Be the World’s Longest Suspended Sky Pool

📍Treyam, NEOM

In March, NEOM unveiled plans to build the world's longest suspended infinity pool at Treyam, a futuristic luxury lagoon resort and marina nestled in the Gulf of Aqaba. The pool will stretch across a 450-meter suspended bridge that will connect the two shores of the lagoon, dwarfing the current record holder, One Za’abeel in Dubai, which measures just 120 meters.
