With AlUla International Airport’s plans to expand with a second terminal, the airport has unveiled the design for their new terminal.

The design reflects the ancient urban heritage of the historic city, and allows the terminal to blend with its natural and cultural environment. The design also makes room for several elements within the terminal, including a hotel, a spa and other facilities.

Since achieving international airport status in March 2021, AlUla Airport has been catering to around 400,000 passengers annually. Through the new terminal, the airport plans to increase its capacity significantly to 6 million passengers per year.
