Emirates Skywards Miles Can Now Be Redeemed for European Train Travel
The service offers access to more than 40 rail operators and 12,000 destinations, with bookings available using Miles or Cash + Miles.
Emirates Skywards members can now redeem their Miles for train travel across 12 European countries through a new platform called Skywards Rail, expanding the loyalty programme beyond flights.
The new service provides access to more than 40 rail operators and over 12,000 destinations. Members can search train schedules, choose travel classes and ticket types, pay entirely with Miles or combine Cash + Miles, and book tickets for relatives and friends. Electronic tickets are delivered by email, with the platform available online and via mobile devices in five languages.
Participating operators include Eurostar, Deutsche Bahn, SNCF, Trenitalia, TGV, Renfe and ÖBB, alongside UK rail services such as Heathrow Express, Gatwick Express, Thameslink, Great Western Railway and ScotRail.
Example redemptions start from 4,100 Skywards Miles for travel between Berlin and Frankfurt, 4,700 Miles on the Heathrow Express, 5,400 Miles between Barcelona and Madrid, 8,100 Miles for Rome to Milan, and 9,400 Miles for journeys between London and Paris.
