Etihad Airways Introduces New Flights to India

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has announced the introduction of two new daily services to Kerala. Starting this January, the airline will commence operations from Abu Dhabi to Kozhikode (CCJ) and Thiruvananthapuram (TRV).

According to a press statement, Etihad Airways will operate EY0248, departing from Abu Dhabi to Kozhikode at 14:40 daily, with the return flight leaving Kozhikode at 21:30 on the same day. From March 31 to October 26, the flight schedule will be adjusted to EY0249, departing from Abu Dhabi at 14:40 and from Kozhikode at 21:40 on the same day.

Similarly, EY0292 will depart from Abu Dhabi to Thiruvananthapuram at 03:20 until March 30, with the return flight leaving Thiruvananthapuram at 10:05. From March 31 to October 26, EY0293 will depart from Abu Dhabi at 02:55 and from Thiruvananthapuram at 09:50.

These new nonstop services expand Etihad Airways' Indian gateway coverage to a total of 10 cities. In 2023, the airline reintroduced services to Kolkata and increased flight frequencies on its busiest routes, Mumbai and Delhi, from two per day to four.
