Etihad Airways Reveals Planes Decorated with Warner Bros. Characters
Keep an eye out for Superman, Tweety, and Bugs Bunny on Etihad’s first Warner Bros. World-branded plane.
Etihad Airways has unveiled a fantastical extension to its partnership with the region’s largest indoor theme park, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, and you’ll never guess what it is (well, you might because it’s in the title, but it’s pretty out-of-the-box).
You’d better keep an eye out, because you might soon actually spot Superman or Wonder Woman soaring through the sky on the side of a new Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, decorated with legendary Warner Bros. characters. One side of the plane features Classic Animation characters like the Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry, while the other side shows the daring adventures of beloved DC Super Heroes.
However, the pre-theme park experience actually takes off (no pun intended) before the plane ever leaves the airport. As part of this partnership, the largest in the park’s history, Etihad is debuting an exclusively-branded Warner Bros. World children’s lounge at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi. And if that’s not enough, kids up to 10-years-old that are taking longer Etihad flights will receive a children’s gift pack featuring Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, while infants will receive a DC-themed soft blanket.
“Building on the strong reputation we have built as a family-friendly airline, we’re thrilled to take our partnership with Warner Bros. World to the next level,” Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer at Etihad Airways, shares with SceneTraveller. “Our Looney Tunes and DC Super Hero themed aircraft will take our brands to destinations worldwide promoting one of Abu Dhabi’s many attractions.”
