Etihad Launches First Regional Flights to Charlotte, North Carolina
The new service will operate four times a week on Etihad’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Starting May 4th, 2026, Etihad Airways will launch direct flights from Abu Dhabi to Charlotte—marking the first-ever route from the region to the North Carolina city. A major hub for finance, technology, motorsports, and culture, Charlotte draws millions of visitors each year.
The new service will operate four times a week on Etihad’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner, with award-winning Business and Economy cabins, early morning departures from Abu Dhabi, and midday returns from the US.
Travellers flying from Abu Dhabi will also benefit from US Customs Preclearance at Zayed International Airport, ensuring seamless entry into the United States.
Charlotte becomes the sixth US destination in Etihad’s growing North American network, joining New York, Chicago, Washington, Boston, and Atlanta.
