FlyDubai Becomes First Foreign Airline to Offer Direct Flights to NEOM

A smooth three-hour ride will take you from Dubai to the heart of the kingdom’s futuristic smart city.

Scene Traveller

Based in the UAE, FlyDubai has become the first airline outside of Saudi Arabia to offer direct flights to NEOM.

Representing a new era of travel connecting Dubai to the kingdom’s $500 billion futuristic smart city, FlyDubai’s flights to Neom Bay Airport will operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, starting from March 16th. Departing from Dubai International Airport's Terminal 2, the flight time will last just under three hours.

The only other airline to operate regularly scheduled commercial flights between NEOM and Dubai until now has been Saudi, the national airline of Saudi Arabia. In the coming years, the destination aims to attract travellers from around the world. About 40% of the world's destinations are accessible within about a four-hour flight time from Neom Bay Airport, which was constructed to serve the multibillion-dollar giga-project.

FlyDubai is also expanding its network to other destinations across Saudi Arabia. It is launching three weekly flights to Najran, a city in south-western Saudi Arabia, on March 18th, and will operate twice-weekly services to Al Qaisumah in the kingdom's eastern province from March 21st.
