Saudi Arabia has announced plans to invest over USD 500 billion in the tourism sector, aiming to develop environmentally conscious destinations that integrate sustainability at every stage of development.
With several sustainable tourism getaways already operational, including projects such as AlUla, the Kingdom has other major initiatives underway, such as The Red Sea project.
Additionally, this effort extends beyond tourism, with initiatives like the Saudi Green Initiative and Green Riyadh focusing on planting millions of trees and reducing emissions as part of a broader strategy to achieve net-zero emissions by 2060.
