UAE's Highly Anticipated 'Hanging Gardens of Kalba’ Open in Sharjah
The expansive garden will feature a running track, an excursion train and mountain climbing paths.
The inauguration of the eagerly awaited "Hanging Gardens" in Kalba, Sharjah was conducted by Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, who examined the visual aspects of the garden – including its lush green spaces, flowers embellishing the terraces, and cascading waterfalls – and later watched a musical performance by students from a local school.
Spanning 1.6 million square feet and home to 100,000 trees, the gardens feature a central restaurant, designed with a classic semi-circular architectural style and the capacity to seat 215 people. Additionally, the expansive park boasts 760-meter running track, a designated track for an excursion train stretching across a length of 820 meters, as well as mountain climbing paths that are segmented into three levels, providing impressive vistas of agricultural land, waterfalls, dense trees, and vibrant flowers.
The anticipated project is designed with the goal of establishing a premier tourist and recreational destination catering to both local residents, nearby visitors, and tourists.
