The United Arab Emirates has been slowly reverting its COVID-19 era restrictions and exceptions over the past couple of years. Most recently, the government has firmly restored its pre-COVID visa regulations.
The UAE visiting visa options provide either a 30-day or a 90-day stay. During the height of the pandemic, you were able to easily extend your visit from within the UAE.
Now, unless you’re a Gulf Cooperation Council citizen - from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar or Saudi Arabia - or someone lucky enough to have the much-sought-after Golden Visa, you will now need to leave the UAE before applying for another visitor’s visa to ‘extend’ your stay.
