A thrilling attraction is set to open in the adventure lover’s emirate, Ras Al Khaimah. Located in Jais Adventure Park, the Jais Sledder is a 1,885 metre toboggan run, making it the longest in the region atop the highest peak in the UAE.

The towering alpine coaster passes through the Hajar mountain range, offering riders panoramic views of the terrain. It’s the first in a series of new rides and experiences that are opening in Jebel Jais, an adventurer hub that’s on the up and up.

The alpine coaster is now open, but will soon be followed by Jais Wings, the first dedicated paragliding spot in the Gulf, as well as the Jais Swing. Visitors will be able to enjoy multiple rides when the park is completed, including the Jais Flight, the world’s longest biplane.

Later on in the year the complex will open the doors to more projects, including pop-up hotel Earth Altitude and Cloud7 Camp Jebel Jais, a eco-friendly glamping experience. Basecamp, an Egyptian camping experience, is also set to open in Jebel Jais offering affordable accommodation, yoga, and live cooking, opening at the end of 2022.

Nearby, Jais Yard will be a foodie village gathering vintage food trucks, an open air cinema, and children’s play areas. Last but not least, the UAE’s highest restaurant, 1484 by Puro, will be gracing the peak, allowing you to dine amongst the clouds (or as close to it as you can get).
