Oman Air Launches Flights From Muscat to Baghdad, Copenhagen & Taif
Closer to home, Taif joins the airline’s roster on January 31st, 2026, making it easier to slip away to Saudi Arabia’s mountain city.
Oman Air is quietly widening its wings, adding a fresh set of destinations that make both cultural deep dives and long-haul escapes a little easier. First up is a new direct flight from Muscat to Baghdad, launching December 16th, 2025—a significant move that reconnects Oman with one of the region’s most historic capitals. From the same date, travellers heading north can reach Copenhagen, with the route operating via Baghdad, offering a new way to link the Gulf with Scandinavia through Oman Air’s network. Closer to home, Taif joins the airline’s roster on January 31st, 2026, making it easier to slip away to Saudi Arabia’s mountain city. Looking further ahead, Oman Air will also operate flights between Salalah and Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport starting December 25th, 2026, strengthening Salalah’s position as a seasonal favourite for international travellers chasing monsoon greenery and coastal calm. With these additions, Oman Air is stitching together cities with culture, history, and distinctly different travel moods, all through Muscat.
