Visit Dubai will begin accepting applications for single and multiple entry tourist visas this month, allowing travellers to complete more of the trip-planning process through the emirate’s official tourism website.

The service forms part of the Shared Digital Channels Initiative, which is integrating government services into common digital platforms. Visit Dubai already allows users to explore attractions, book tickets, discover events and plan holidays, and the visa service will add entry applications to the same platform.

A dedicated visa information section currently lists available tourist visa categories, required documents, processing times and fees. Prices start at AED 200 for a 30-day single entry tourist visa, excluding VAT, with applications typically processed within three working days.

Applications submitted through Visit Dubai will continue to be assessed and issued by the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs Dubai. Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, said the integration is intended to create a more unified digital journey while maintaining security and processing standards.

According to Visit Dubai, citizens of more than 80 countries can obtain a visa on arrival, GCC nationals can enter without a visa, and GCC residents can apply for an e-visa. Travellers who require a tourist visa can choose between single entry, multiple entry and five-year multiple entry categories, with 30-day and 60-day options available for the first two.

The update is being rolled out alongside Dubai Access Club, an invitation-only membership programme offering repeat visitors access to selected benefits and experiences across the city.
