World’s First Dragon Ball Theme Park is Landing in Saudi’s Qiddiya
The park will feature over 30 rides, including a 70-metre-high dragon rollercoaster.
The world’s first Dragon Ball theme park is set to be developed in Saudi Arabia’s Qiddiya, marking it as the latest in a succession of announcements for the Kingdom’s soon-to-be entertainment hub.
The new attraction will feature over 30 rides, five of which are deemed 'ground-breaking' according to developers and one of which is a 70-metre-high dragon rollercoaster.
Spread across half a million square metres, these rides share the same theme inspired by the legendary Japanese anime franchise that tells the story of mythical martial artist Goku. 40 years after its inception, the phenomenon continues to entertain people worldwide through movies, video games, TV shows, and now – theme parks, hotels and restaurants.
Qiddiya’s development into a Saudi entertainment mega project also includes several other major attractions in the pipeline, such as a 45,000-seat clifftop stadium and the world’s tallest and fastest rollercoaster, reaching a staggering 251 km/h.
