The Logos Hope is a giant floating library that sails the seven seas in search of young dreamers and storytellers, hoping to enrich their learning and provide material to further fuel their fantasies. And soon, starting on January 4th, this seabound book fair will dock at Egypt’s Port Said to give every bibliophile there a temporary escape into its unique collection.

Founded in 1970, the Logos ships have made more than 480 different port calls in more than 150 different nations, where they have hosted more than 49 million passengers. The cruise was established with the sole intention of making education more accessible, igniting people’s thirst for knowledge, and encouraging cross-cultural relationships.

The ship docks for almost two weeks at each major port, opening the gangways to hundreds and sometimes even thousands of passengers daily. The floating book fair features a wide variety of books, giving many visitors the chance to select from the extensive selection of high-quality literature for the first time.

Tickets to come on board cost around EGP 26 (EUR 1) for anyone above the age of 12.
