Glass Domes and Gulf Views at Umm Al Quwain’s Luxeglamp UAQ

Set to open in 2025, Luxeglamp UAQ will merge eco-friendly tourism with luxury living.

When the UAE is brought up, one’s mind immediately goes to plush cars zooming down desert highways, passing towering skyscrapers of glass that reflect the Arabian sun, and maddeningly loud beach parties going on and on into the early dawn. Yet, beyond the Gucci stores and chic malls of Dubai and Abu Dhabi lies another UAE, untouched by the grandiosity of ultra-modern architecture and glossy everything. Here, in these ancient, untouched emirates lies the gentle soft breeze of the Arabian Gulf, wafting through verdant foliage and golden brown desert dunes.

In one such emirate, Umm Al Quwain, amidst age-old mangrove groves and the azure sea, lies a peaceful sanctuary in the wilderness. Far removed from the daily bustle of modern life, a new glamping experience beckons travellers looking to put their feet up after strutting their Louboutins on the marble of Dubai Mall.

Slated to open in 2025, Luxeglamp UAQ is a new eco-friendly glamping concept featuring 10 boutique translucent domes right in the middle of the mangroves and right in front of the refreshing waves of the Arabian Gulf. Each dome will span approximately 1,000 square feet and will include a picturesque private terrace with a wooden patio, a plunge pool, a personal sauna, and a hammock that allows guests to stargaze as they slumber.

Situated between verdant mangroves and turquoise waves, Luxeglamp UAQ will offer nature-centred activities such as kayaking, walks through the mangrove canopies, and stargazing at the heavenly expanses above.

Employing eco-friendly practices throughout, the upcoming glamp experience, which aims to be completely carbon neutral, seeks to honour the emirate’s topography and biodiversity without sacrificing on comfort or luxury. Solar power and greywater treatments will reinforce the project’s eco-conscious ethos, while a ban on single-use plastics and minimal environmental impact construction demonstrate its dedication to preservation.

So, when the cut-throat city life is getting you down and the summer beach parties of Jumeirah seem too much, you can retreat into the comforting embrace of the ancient natural wonders of Umm Al Quwain.
