With its glittering shores and romantic resorts, the UAE’s most underrated emirate is getting its first wellness festival this October.
RAKtopia is the music and wellness festival bound to shake things up in Ras Al Khaimah, a gorgeous emirate in the north of the UAE.
Known as the ‘middle ground’ between the often-hectic Dubai and the sedentary Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah is for those who enjoy balance in all their life endeavors. Beachfront villas, opulent and romantic resorts, and a nature preserve with galloping gazelles and Arabian horses coalesce to form an idyllic image of a beachside destination. With archeological sites dating back 7,000 years, Ras Al Khaimah is also an area rich in history and cultural heritage, as evidenced by its multiple museums.
The often-overlooked destination is hosting its first-ever music and wellness festival at Longbeach Campground in the Al Nadiyah area. Taking place from October 22nd to October 23rd, the festival is an opportunity to reconnect with nature and make friends within a like-minded community of dancers and artists.
The festival’s musical lineup includes UAE-based DJs NU, LUM, 2Third, Charl Chaka, and Jixo & Danz, who’re hell-bent on making sure everyone has good rhythm and flow. For the wellness cornerstone of the festival, wellness instructors Sarah White, Allaoua Gaham, Tamara Khoury, and Jessica Body will provide yoga classes and healing workshops to help you reconnect with your innermost self.
