EgyptAir to Operate Direct Flights Between Cairo & Port Sudan

The airspace of Sudan’s eastern sector has recently reopened since its closure on April 15th, when the country fell into conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces.

Egypt’s Ministry of Civil Aviation has announced that EgyptAir, the country’s national carrier, will begin the operation of direct flights between Cairo and Port Sudan on September 1st.

The airspace of Sudan’s eastern sector has recently reopened since its closure on April 15th, when the country fell into conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces. Since the outbreak of the armed conflict, Port Sudan’s airport has become the site of humanitarian and evacuation sites out the country.
