Flydubai Launches Direct Flights From Dubai To Langkawi And Penang
The inaugural flight coincided with the first day of Chinese New Year.
Dubai-based airline flydubai has launched flights to Langkawi and Penang in Malaysia. Coinciding with the auspicious first day of Chinese New Year, its inaugural Malaysia-bound flights landed at Penang International Airport (PEN) and Langkawi International Airport (LGK), making Flydubai the first airline to offer a daily service from Dubai to both airports.
This expansion marks flydubai's evolving presence in Southeast Asia, encompassing four destinations in two countries, including Langkawi and Penang in Malaysia, as well as Krabi and Pattaya in Thailand.
Sudhir Sreedharan, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations (UAE, GCC, Africa, and the Indian Subcontinent) at flydubai, expressed in a statement, “We are pleased to see our presence grow in Southeast Asia with the addition of Penang and Langkawi to our growing network.”
Flights will be available daily from Terminal 3, Dubai International (DXB), to Penang International Airport (PEN) and Langkawi International Airport (LGK).
For the return journey, Business Class fares from DXB to PEN begin at AED 11,000, while Economy Class Lite fares start at AED 2,700. Likewise, return Business Class fares from DXB to LGK start from AED 11,000, with Economy Class Lite fares starting at AED 3,500.
