The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced its masterplan for a new luxury destination in the mountainous region of Aseer. Set atop the Kingdom’s highest peak, the Soudah Peaks development rises 3,015 metres above sea, highlighting the verdant natural beauty and cultural heritage in south-west Saudi Arabia.

“Visitors will have the opportunity to discover the beauty of Soudah Peaks, explore its rich culture and heritage, and experience the authentic hospitality of the local community,” Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced. ”Soudah Peaks will offer unforgettable experiences amidst lush greenery, above the clouds.”Considered the unofficial outdoor adventure capital of Saudi Arabia, Soudah already draws visitors to hike through its juniper forests or paraglide over the misty valleys. The Aseer region has a rich history of traditional folk music, art, poetry, fashion and food, many of which can be experienced in the village of RIjal Almaa, where the annual Flowerman Festival celebrates the culture of the local Aseri tribe. The region features over 200 documented heritage sites including historic hamlets and mosques, as well as watchtowers and mountain forts.

As it develops, Soudah Peaks’ range of hotels, mountain resorts, villas and mansions will take inspiration from its surroundings. Breathtaking mountain views will be accompanied by elegant interiors, which will take their inspiration from the region’s traditional architecture.
