The airline had suspended its operations to the ongoing conflict in Yemen.
Yemenia Airways has announced the resumption of direct flights from Sanaa to Saudi Arabia.
The airline had suspended its operations due to the ongoing conflict in Yemen, which had severely impacted the country's economy and infrastructure. The first flight from Sanaa to Saudi Arabia took off on June 18th, 2023.
The resumption of flights is expected to boost trade and tourism between Yemen and Saudi Arabia, as well as provide a much-needed lifeline for Yemen's economy. Yemenia Airways will be operating two flights per week between Sanaa and Saudi Arabia initially, with plans to increase frequency in the future.
It is hoped that this will be the first step towards restoring normalcy in Yemen's aviation industry and improving connectivity with other countries in the region. Passengers are advised to follow all safety protocols put in place by airlines and governments to ensure a safe and comfortable journey.
