Hawana Salalah is an Omani Paradise on the Indian Ocean

With its tropical weather, indulgent dining, world-class hotels and fun activities, Hawana Salalah is making its way up the ‘woah this must be what heaven is like’ travel destinations.

Oman has been gradually lifting its travel ban in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which makes this the opportune moment to rediscover the Sultanate’s most booming tourist destination: Hawana Salalah. With more vowels than a bowl of Cheerios, Hawana Salalah is located along the southernmost border of the Dhofar governorate, with 7 kilometres of white beaches that stretch out along the Indian Ocean.

Interweaving modern architectural styles with traditional Arabian influences, Havana Salalah takes Oman’s look and dials it up to eleven. This merger of convention and luxury is on full display in the extravagant four- and five-star hotels that dot the shores of the development, such as the Fanar Hotel & Residences, the Juweira Boutique Hotel or the 422-room Salalah Rotana Resort.

While lounging by the pool or chilling at the spa all day are certainly options, Dhofar’s varied landscapes are too inviting to be ignored. Dune trekking and water activities such as diving, snorkeling, sailing and kayaking are just some of the few ways to familiarize yourself with its striking scenery and natural space. Did we also mention you can watch dolphins at its superyacht marina? Because you can watch dolphins at the superyacht marina.

Before booking a trip to Oman, make sure your country is not suspended from entry due to the
COVID-19 pandemic. All travellers on long flights no less than 8 hours (including transit) must
submit a pre-travel negative COVID-19 PCR test within 96 hours. Travellers on shorter flights
must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test conducted within 72 hours of departure.
